Help Nudge the Rise of an Integral Planetary Culture

Do you want to live in a world which offers clear pathways and opportunities for every human to develop maximum personal potential and co-create a sustainable planetary culture?

The purpose of the the World Builders Project  is to collect and share resources that empower us to shape the world we live in. We will track the progress of people managing their Blessed Unrest  [1} as they attempt to move their local cultures forward towards supporting a common good.  Paul Hawken points out in his book by that name [Blessed Unrest] that citizen movements globally are emerging to confront their local ecological and economic disasters. What is also emerging, is an awareness of their common aims.

Coping With Varieties of “Integral”

When you begin to investigate the idea of a “coherent integral culture”  one of the early challenges which arises is to deal with the varous ways the term “integral” is used. There are several different conceptual schemes that claim to be integral and yet there are important differences between them. Discussions can be “edgy” between champions of one or the other of these views.  And this conflict shows up between colleagues with very similar aims. Given the current culture wars with their clash of beliefs, ideas and Ideologies on a global scale, what we all need are skills to navigate with emotional intelligence in a conflict filled environment.

The World Builders Process

I invite you to investigate the World Builders Process. It has been an on going concern of mine to keep the dialogue flowing as we muddle our way into a future that holds both threats and opportunities. I am promoting the World Builder Process as a dynamic tool for integral cultural development that is compatible with most of the integral schemas with which I am familiar. The World Builders Process, practiced over time allows us to bear the irritation of ambiguity and yet choose to act despite “not knowing enough.”

There will be more in future posts documenting the rising awareness of the pressing nature of our situation [locally and planet wide] and what we can do to turn this challenging state of affairs into an opportunity to create a coherent global culture

Here also you will find resources to further your project of personal growth as well as cooperate with others in the creation of a more satisfying world for ourselves and the children of our grand-children.

The World Builders Project is now in the  beginning phase.

Expect to see more here about how you can participate in the World Builders Project soon. I invite you to start by taking a moment to reflect on this project and offering comments or questions.

Best,

Dennis McCracken
